Abstract
The predominant concerns of the study consist in: (1) the direct effect of Mongolian immigrant workers¡¯ satisfaction of work environment on their health problems; (2) the direct effect of medical service satisfaction on their health problems (3) the mediating effect of medical service satisfaction; (4) the moderating effect of the Mongolian immigrant workers¡¯ legal status(legal labors Vs. illegal labors) of Mongolian immigrant workers. Research is based on a survey conducted with 453 Mongolian immigrant workers from 10 cities including Seoul. In order for subjects to verify research questions, structural equation models are explored. A variety of tests are conducted(metric invariance, intercept invariance, critical ratio for difference test, multi-group analysis, bias-corrected boot-strapping, latent mean analysis including Cohen¡¯s effect test). The major findings of the study supported the direct effect of Mongolian immigrant workers¡¯ satisfaction of work environment on their health problems. in both the legal group and the illegal group. We found the significant mediating effect of medical service satisfaction only in legal group. We also found the mediating effect of Mongolian immigrant workers¡¯ legal status. Based on the above findings, a range of political and practical implications are discussed.
